Why the Change from Kathmandu to Rammechhap for flights?
Kathmandu’s airport is busy with international flights, causing delays for Lukla flights. Manthali Airport, located 132 km northeast of Kathmandu (5-6 hour drive), is a more streamlined operation for Lukla flights only. The flight from Ramechhap to Lukla takes 20 minutes, compared to 35-45 minutes from Kathmandu .
